Students learn the work of acting specifically while singing. Class includes discovery of a character's viewpoint and how to follow that character's attention from one moment to the next. Class involves weekly solo work, group performing, musical analysis, and ensemble pieces.

Students in the Rockers Class will have a rock concert at a local venue at the completion of the course. All playing levels are welcome for vocal, drums, guitar, and bass. Students may be asked to perform tasks on different instruments but will always have most of their work on their main instrument of study. We recommend that private lessons are taken from a Conservatory teacher while playing in the Rock Band. We recommend older teens in Rockers 2, and younger students in Rockers 1 &3.

This fun class is designed for the student who wants to Jam, Jam, and Jam. Classes typically invite guest vocals to the recitals. Douglas Erekson covers Classic Rock in both his Adult, and Kids class. New students are always welcome to stop by the check out the class. Also, if you are a vocalist wanting to perform at the recital with a band, let the office know and we will see if they can back you up.
