Summer Acting Camps

The Conservatory’s acting program has a goal to be both fun and non-judgmental while introducing concepts designed for a professional-level actor. The curriculum is centered around a collaboration of several years of professional, university, and children’s theatre expertise of the drama department’s faculty.  The program is skill-based vs. production-based, and progresses throughout the summer to higher gradients of skill-level and practice.
 
Acting Camp: Basics I (6-9 yrs)
June 21-June 25 (M-F), 9 AM – 12 Noon
Tuition: $199
A fun camp to introduce the basics skills of acting technique, including acting games, improvisational and communication exercises, as well as scenes to be performed to the public on the last day of camp. Taught by Jane Talley and assisted by Dr. Fredric Cook and Debra Cook, and selected guests.

Acting Camp: Basics I (10-14 yrs)

Performance Technique, Interpretation & Acting Skills for the Performing Artist & Professional Track Students. Students follow an 8 lesson curriculum, learning an approach to the work of acting specifically while singing. Class includes weekly solo performances by class members, script and musical analysis, and workshops of solo and ensemble pieces. There is a semester recital on Friday, August 20th

Group Voice Lessons for Adults

Utilizing group and solo singing, this 9 session course covers the basics of singing technique through the study of folk songs, familiar tunes, and vocal exercises, enjoying the company of adults who love to sing and perform. There is a final recital on Saturday, August 20th.

The nationally known Paul Green School of Rock and Utah Conservatory have partnered to provide a rockin’ program.  Utah Conservatory will provide Utah’s best weekly private instruction; as well as billing services.  School of Rock will operate their weekly rehearsals and famous show productions.
